Venturi Tri magnifies the speed of our bestselling TT Bikes by elevating it to a whole new platform. The aerodynamically optimised frame of our Venturi served as the basis for an all new streamlined design. Hallmarks of the model range are evident in our proprietary Triathlon and Time Trial bike.
This fresh project was led from the front, with rounded edges optimised to break the critical boundary layer of air as smoothly as possible. From there the elongated flat profile tube shapes serve to stabilise airflow and reduce points of turbulence. Compliance and stiffness have been meticulously localised to the requisite areas with UK engineered Sigmatex Spread Tow Carbon fibre; a material that we have exclusive use of within the bicycle industry.
From the onset of our design process we considered areas of movement and the effect of rider positioning to the overall aerodynamics. Bike fit is absolutely critical to the mission for speed by reducing aerodynamic drag. Indeed it is the very reason why specific bikes are required for this specialist area of the sport. The aerodynamically profiled seat mast is a part of the component package that helps us to achieve this aim, with 50mm of fore/aft adjustability and angle adjustment.
We designed and optimised the Venturi Tri for wireless groupsets so we fit a mixture of Shimano 105 Di2 and Dura Ace components to this model. A full Shimano 105 Di2 groupset is complimented by Dura Satellite shifters and brakes making for an incredible ride experience offering superb performance.
Comfort engineered. Fit Dialled. Speed refined.
Highly Adjustable
To make the Venturi Tri as adjustable as possible we collaborated with Profile Designs for the cockpit components. The base bar is shaped for their riser blocks which offer angle adjustment at every step. 45mm of spacers are fitted as standard and a maximum of 80mm is recommended. The carbon extension tubes are also highly adjustable, as are the arm rest pads. Some added benefits to this design are: a faster disassembly process for traveling, and ease of finding replacement parts from a well-established brand in the field.
Wireless Shifting
Road race bikes have seen a seismic shift to electronic groupsets in recent years and it isn’t hard to see why. Compared to their mechanical counterparts these professional race calibre components offer instantaneous accurate shifting, less maintenance, and are more travel friendly. By designing Venturi Tri for electronic shifting only we focused the method to produce the best result.
